Troy Puls isn't a career politician, and he'll be the first to tell you so. Before anything else, Troy is a patriot who answered his country's call. He served in the United States Army with U.S. Army Europe, stationed overseas in Germany, where he maintained M1 tank systems — the backbone of America's armored force. That experience taught him discipline, accountability, and what it means to be part of something bigger than yourself. It's a set of values he carried home to Wyoming and has lived by ever since.

Born and raised in Wyoming, Troy grew up understanding what this state is really built on: hard work, personal responsibility, and showing up every single day — not because someone is watching, but because it's the right thing to do. Today, Troy serves on the Director Team of the Laramie Plains Civic Center as its Maintenance Head, keeping the day-to-day operations and upkeep of one of Laramie's most beloved historic landmarks running right. It's a job that demands exactly the skills Wyoming needs in Cheyenne: keeping aging infrastructure in shape, stretching every dollar, and answering to the community you serve.
Public service runs deep in the Puls family. Troy's brother served two terms as Albany County Sheriff — a record built on integrity, dedication, and earning the trust of the people he protected. That legacy of service isn't lost on Troy. He understands firsthand what it means to put your community before yourself, to stand between your neighbors and harm, and to do the unglamorous, essential work that keeps a place safe and strong. Those values didn't come from a campaign consultant. They came from family, from Wyoming, and from a lifetime of living them.
Troy is running because he believes the people of Senate District 9 deserve a representative who actually understands what it means to maintain something — a building, a budget, a community. He knows that problems ignored become problems that cost everyone more down the road. He knows that trust is earned through consistency, not promises.
